One-to-One Coaching & Mentoring Booking Terms
Marie Cowgill | Cowgill Consulting Ltd
Last updated: 23 July 2026
These Booking Terms apply when you book a one-to-one session with Marie Cowgill through Cowgill Consulting Ltd. They apply to both the Freedom Strategy Call and the Coaching & Mentoring Call, and to any other one-off one-to-one coaching or mentoring session that expressly refers to these Booking Terms.
These Booking Terms supplement the Website Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy. If there is a direct conflict about a one-to-one booking, these Booking Terms take priority for that booking. Nothing in these Booking Terms affects any statutory right that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

2. The sessions covered by these Booking Terms
Freedom Strategy Call
A Freedom Strategy Call is a focused one-to-one session with Marie designed for people who want to think strategically about creating more freedom in the way they live and work.
Depending on your circumstances, the session may explore areas such as money, time, work, business, income, clarity, confidence, priorities, competing goals and practical next moves.
Coaching & Mentoring Call
A Coaching & Mentoring Call is a focused one-to-one session with Marie for a specific challenge, decision, opportunity or goal.
Depending on what you bring to the session, Marie may use coaching, mentoring, challenge, perspective and strategic thinking in the combination that is most useful.
The duration, price and any specific inclusions of the session you select will be shown on the relevant booking page at the time you book. Those booking-page details form part of your contract.
3. What these sessions are — and are not
The sessions provide coaching, mentoring and/or strategic guidance. They are intended to support reflection, clarity, decision-making and practical action.
They do not constitute:
· financial advice;
· investment advice;
· mortgage or credit advice;
· legal advice;
· tax or accounting advice;
· medical advice;
· mental-health treatment or psychotherapy; or
· any other regulated professional advice unless expressly agreed in writing and provided by an appropriately authorised professional.
You remain responsible for your own decisions, actions and results. Where a matter requires specialist regulated or professional advice, you should seek advice from an appropriately qualified professional.
4. Booking and contract formation
When you submit a booking and payment, you are offering to purchase the session shown on the booking page.
Your booking is confirmed when payment has been successfully completed and you receive a booking confirmation, unless we contact you promptly to explain that we cannot accept the booking.
You are responsible for checking the session type, date, time, time zone, contact details and meeting information shown in your confirmation.
5. Payment
Payment is required in full at the time of booking unless the relevant booking page expressly states otherwise.
Your session is not confirmed until the required payment has been successfully completed.
Payments may be processed by a third-party payment provider. We do not ordinarily store your full payment-card details.
6. Consumer cancellation rights for online bookings
If you are a Consumer and book online or otherwise enter into a qualifying distance contract, you may have a statutory right to cancel the contract within 14 days after the day the contract is entered into, without giving a reason.
To exercise a statutory right to cancel, you must clearly tell us that you wish to cancel. You may contact [email protected]. You may also use the model cancellation form contained in the Website Terms and Conditions, although you do not have to use that form.
Where a statutory right to cancel applies, it takes priority over the contractual cancellation and rescheduling rules below.
7. Sessions scheduled within the 14-day cancellation period
If your chosen session is scheduled to take place before the end of any applicable 14-day statutory cancellation period, you expressly request that we begin providing the service during that cancellation period.
Where required by law, the booking or checkout process will also ask you to acknowledge that once the service has been fully performed, you will lose the statutory right to cancel that fully performed service.
If you exercise a valid statutory right to cancel after performance of the service has begun but before it has been fully performed, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for the service supplied up to the time you communicated your cancellation, where the legal requirements for doing so are met.
Booking a session within 14 days does not, by itself, remove your statutory rights.
8. Contractual cancellation and rescheduling policy
The following policy applies in addition to, and subject to, any statutory cancellation rights you may have.
Rescheduling with at least 24 hours' notice
You may reschedule your session once without an additional charge if you give at least 24 hours' notice before the scheduled start time.
Please use the rescheduling link in your confirmation email where available, or contact [email protected].
Cancellation with at least 24 hours' notice
If you cancel with at least 24 hours' notice, you will normally receive a full refund of the session fee.
Less than 24 hours' notice, further rescheduling or non-attendance
If you cancel, request a reschedule or do not attend with less than 24 hours' notice, we may retain or charge an amount that reasonably reflects the time reserved for you and the loss directly caused by the late cancellation or non-attendance.
This may be up to the full session fee where the appointment time cannot reasonably be reallocated and the full fee reflects our actual loss.
We will not charge more than is fair and proportionate in the circumstances, and any statutory rights you have continue to apply.
Marie may waive or reduce a late-cancellation or rescheduling charge in exceptional or humanitarian circumstances at her discretion.
9. Late arrival
If you arrive late, the session will normally still end at the original scheduled finishing time so that later commitments are not affected.
If Marie is responsible for a material delay, reasonable steps will be taken to ensure you receive the agreed session time or an appropriate alternative.
10. Online sessions and technology
Sessions are normally delivered online using Microsoft Teams, unless another arrangement has been agreed.
You are responsible for having a suitable device, internet connection and environment for the session.
If a significant technical issue on Marie's side prevents the session from being delivered, the affected session or portion will be rearranged at no additional charge.
If a technical issue on your side materially prevents the session from taking place, we will act reasonably in the circumstances. A replacement session is not automatically guaranteed where the issue is outside our control, particularly where the scheduled time has already been substantially reserved or used.
11. Preparing for and participating in the session
You do not need to prepare anything formal unless the booking page or pre-session form says otherwise.
You agree to provide information that is reasonably accurate and relevant to the support you are seeking and to participate respectfully.
Marie may adapt the balance of coaching, mentoring and strategic guidance according to what you bring to the session and what appears most useful, while keeping within appropriate professional boundaries.
12. Confidentiality
Marie will treat information shared during the session as confidential, subject to the Privacy Policy and the limits described below.
Confidentiality may be limited where disclosure is required or permitted by law, reasonably necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal rights, or required in connection with serious safeguarding or risk concerns.
Appropriate professional supervision or reflective practice may be used in accordance with the Privacy Policy, with unnecessary identifying information minimised where reasonably practicable.
13. Notes, recording and AI-assisted tools
Marie may take reasonable professional notes for continuity, administration, reflective practice and related purposes as explained in the Privacy Policy.
Sessions are not treated as automatically recorded or fully transcribed.
Where recording, substantial transcription or an AI meeting assistant capturing substantially the whole conversation is proposed, appropriate information will be provided and any consent or permission required by law will be obtained.
You must not record, publish or distribute a session without prior agreement, except where a right cannot lawfully be restricted.
14. No guaranteed outcome
Marie will provide the service with reasonable care and skill.
However, coaching and mentoring are collaborative processes and no particular personal, financial, business, career or other outcome is guaranteed.
You remain responsible for the choices you make and the actions you take following the session.
15. Suitability and professional boundaries
Marie may decline or end a session where the requested support falls outside appropriate professional scope, where there is a serious conflict of interest, where behaviour is abusive or threatening, or where another substantial reason makes continuation inappropriate.
If a prepaid session is ended by us before the agreed service has been supplied, we will deal fairly with the amount paid in accordance with the circumstances and applicable law.
16. If we need to cancel or rearrange
If Marie needs to cancel or rearrange because of illness, emergency, technical failure or another reasonable operational reason, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible.
You will be offered a reasonable alternative. If we cancel the session and cannot provide a reasonable alternative, you will receive a refund for the undelivered session.
17. Complaints
If you are unhappy with the service, please raise the issue so that it can be considered fairly.
You can contact [email protected] or use the Complaints process available through the website.
Nothing in this section removes any statutory right or external remedy available to you.
18. Data protection
Personal information is handled in accordance with the Cowgill Consulting Ltd Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy explains how information may be collected, used, stored and shared in connection with bookings, coaching and mentoring services.
19. Relationship with the Website Terms and Conditions
These Booking Terms apply specifically to one-to-one bookings covered by them.
The Website Terms and Conditions also apply where relevant, including provisions concerning intellectual property, website use, liability, governing law and other general matters.
If there is a direct conflict concerning a one-to-one booking, these Booking Terms take priority for that booking.
20. Contact
For booking questions, cancellations, rescheduling or other service enquiries, contact:
Implementation note: The relevant booking page should clearly show the selected service, current price, duration and material cancellation information before payment. Where a Consumer books a session that may take place within the statutory 14-day cancellation period, the checkout process should capture the necessary express request for early performance and acknowledgement concerning loss of the cancellation right on full performance.
